Grand Morning Assembly to pay homage to the Martyrs of APS Peshawar at QDPS Gujranwala - 15/12/2015
A first ever grand morning assembly was held in Oval Ground where all the students of the four parts of the college gathered and paid homage to the departed souls of the tragedy of the Peshawar APS.
Worthy Commissioner Gujranwala Division / Chairman BOT/BOG Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja addressed the gathering. Speaking on the occasion he said “The incident at Peshawar APS was not less than a tragedy. It would be tragedy even to term that a tragedy. “The Peshawar Incident”, he said,” has united us all as a nation. It has infused a new spirit into our nation.” He turned his last working day as Chairman a historic one by making various announcements.
He announced that this Oval Ground shall be changed into a Mini Stadium. The tender for The Sports Complex shall be approved this month and the project shall see the light of the day soon.
A grand opening ceremony is going to take place for the DPS Lala Musa Campus today at 4:00 P.M. Moreover, four branches of QDPS shall be completed by March 2016.
He won the hearts of the employees in Fourth Grade by announcing a full bonus for them. He further told that no employee has been kept on fixed pay.
No less was the jubilation of the other employees for whom he announced a bonus of half of their Basic Pay Scale.
Songs related to Pakistan and Peshawar incident were melodiously sung by the choir of the Quaidians.
A large number of Media personnel of Dunya Television network, Express News, Samma News, Dawn News and Channel 5 were present on the occasion also.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy verses from the Holy Quran and ended on Dua for all.
National Anthem was also sung at the end.
