Celebration of Iqbal day
Today on 09/12/2015 Worthy Commissioner Gujranwala Division/ Chairman BOT / BOG Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja while addressing the students and teachers congratulate them on such great performances on the eve of celebration of birthday of Alama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, the great thinker, poet and the architect of the idea of Pakistan. He stressed the importance of teachings of Allama Iqbal especially his addresses namely Reconstruction of thoughts of Islam.
He stressed the importance of modern technology in the class rooms especially use of smart boards and establishment of language lab besides science and IT laboratories. He stressed on everyone to work hard with full zeal and zest for the up gradation and uplift of the institution.
Earlier principal QDPS Mr. Sajid Jamal Khan welcomed the chief guest Worthy Commissioner Gujranwala Division/ Chairman BOT / BOG Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja, Mr. Zarar Kaleem member BOG, Mr. Rizwan Sheikh s/o Sheikh Muhmmad Younas, Heads, Teachers and students to the function and also described the importance of celebration of days of national heroes and leaders.
There were performances of students such as recitation of Holy verses and naat, saying of milli songs and kalam-e-Iqbal and different tableaus depicting the ideas behind the poetry of Hazrat Allama Iqbal. There were also speeches on “Iqbal ka Shaheen” and “Iqbal ka Marde Momin”.
Worthy Commissioner Gujranwala Division/ Chairman BOT / BOG Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja appreciated the efforts of students, teachers and heads and invited them to a lunch at Commissioner House in the near future.
